DJIGO 4.2.8 Why does it now require Verification to access my account

Once again I am having to enter a stupid Validation code after my password, to enable the App for my Mavic Pro. WHY???

Also now occurs when accessing my DJI Go account for Ph3.

Can someone in DJI please answer.

An iPhone6 running IOS11.2.6 / Also, A/C Firmware V1.04.0300 / R/C Firmware V1.04.0300.

All was fine until I downloaded DJIGO4 App V4.2.8 today. That's when I found I was now required to enter a random Verification code to access my account which I have not had to do in the last 18months.

If I want to access my DJIGO account to fly my Ph3 I find the same issue  - a Verification code required which was not required before. What has changed due to just downloading DJIGO4 V4.2.8 ??

That's strange, especially for IOS, as I have upgraded to exactly the same and don't have to enter verification code on my iPhone 7+. Perhaps a DJI mod can explain.

What version of DJI Go 4 did you update from, was it an older version or 4.2.6 ?

Yes indeed, I can't see why I should require to "Verify" my email address and / or password which has hitherto always been acceptable, allowing access as you would expect.

Is it because I live in Yorkshire ?!

Hi Aardvark, yes I did upgrade from GO4 V4.2.6 on Feb 14th 2018. I did wonder what happened to V4.2.7?

Hi QuadKid. I select "Sign out" at the Settings page of mt account and it does just that. When I want to access the App again, I am required to re-sign in as normal but with an additional requirement for a Verification Code ?

I found that happens when you completely delete the App before re-downloading and re-installing an update App.  Perhaps something in another upgrade/update interferred with the cookie-like code that normally would have recognized you.

LOL - I'm sure it's not
Happened to me on my second flight with my new MPP back in early December but that was due to my IOS FW not being up-to-date. It's been perfect since. You can try deleting the app and reinstalling it after synching your flight records. Delete the app, reboot the mobile, reinstall the app and see if it persists

I'm afraid not. My iphone 6 just deraults to Siri.

Surely DJI must know what the DJIGO App sign in screen looks like when the account holder is requested to enter a Verification Code after entering their email and password details?

Not much help I'm afraid.

There may be some confusion here... That's the sign-on screen that I see when I log on to the Forum or my DJI Account.  I've never seen that when using GO4.  FWIW, that dual verification code has been there for 2-3 months (for me).

I just logged out of my DJI Go 4 account and back on again, yes I see the same screen as you posted. But once completed that's it, you can close down App' and next time it's opened it is seen as being logged into account, even if no wifi nor cell connection available. If you chose to log out then login is required. If you leave it logged in then that's it until next upgrade or log out.

You are logged into the application rather than any online server.

I read this thread and still don’t understand what the issue is. These have been around forever. Do you absolutely hate everything that changes?

If they move a button location within the app are we going to flip a lid because the button moved?

Just as  Aardvark said, when you sign out of your account it will always ask you for a verification code "Capthca" to verify it is you and not a Bot when you sign in again. If you want this to stop simply close the app when you are done without signing out and the next time you use the app it should not ask you for verification again, if you update the app to a newer version the settings are defaulted and you will have to sign in again and enter the Captha code, if you don't sign out you will not have to sign in.

Wait, are you actually signing out every time you stop using your drone? Or is it not saving your login info?

I was, prior to downloading GO4 V4.2.8,  able to sign OUT of the application and then later, sign back in with just email address and password. You are right, in that I have had the Capcha experience before but it just seemed to go away (?), until downloading this latesr release - maybe I was just lucky!
I would have thought that a personalised account that has been signed in to and used hundreds of times over would not require to be bot checked - I was wrong!

Hello,

The 1st photo shows me trying to log in with my user name and password period from the photo I hope you're able to see it asks for a verification code and at the same time does not give me a verification code that I can enter. I'm unable to either C or receive the verification code. The 2nd picture what's the show you I have the most recent update of DGI go
