Anyone have an issue like this. I have never crashed but suspect the motor mount bolt was over tightened at the factory.

It is not uncommon. Bad plastic moulding. If it is within the warranty period, contact DJI and have the shell replaced.

it is VERY COMMON for P3 aircraft, esp. you have tried to control your drone in FULL speed. exchange the shell by DJI for free if still under warranty.

There are tons of threads on this going back almost three years.

Some think the motor mount screws were torqued too tight.  Some think it's bad plastic molding.  Personally, I suspect it's from the stronger thrust of the P3 series motors coupled with the abrupt braking action of the P3 series.  After all, the P2 series Phantoms generally don't have this problem, but they also don't have the braking action.

Anyway, as rampant as the problem appears, it seems most P3s don't suffer from this problem.  It just seems bad because everybody that has seen it on their P3 talks about it.

Good luck

I have read that Blue locktite should not be used near plastic. Even if it doesn't get on the plastic, the fumes it emits when curing is said to crack plastic.
I have seen this mentioned several times on the forums.
No firsthand experience though........

I don't know about that, the factory uses it... Lol, maybe that was the problem all along.

You can use a smear of blue locktite on the metal screws and use them after they have dried.  Using wet loctite on plastic can cause the problem described, as the solvent attacks the plastic.  There is specific locktite for use on plastic, but its use isn't appropriate here, the blue type is the correct one to use.
