Some fun mountain biking with my Spark, I strap the RC to the handlebar with some velcro straps. I do get some loss of connection when it is directly behind me (even at 50 metres or less), I guess it does not like my body between the RC and AC?

It could just be the plane of elevation or interference from the slopes, etc?

I think it is not the RC. It is not tracking the RC, it is tracking you on the bike, visuell
By color difference mostly, if I understood that right

The active track does sometimes battle a bit on the tight switchbacks. The issue that I get is the RC to AC connection, sometimes just video breakup but also disconnects. It normally connects on 5.8 GHz not sure if 2.4 would be better?

Video breakup is mostly app, these days.
So is it a app disconnection or a RC one? RTH kicking in?

The RTH does not kick in as it seems to only disconnect for a few seconds before reconnecting.

Nice video!  What I usually do is I put my remote in my backpack or my cargo short pocket.  I use one of those plastic joystick holders to keep them from moving and then I have a mount for my phone on my handle bars so I can make sure it is still following me.  It's been working for me so far.

The more you can contrast yourself against the background the better as others have said.

Good idea, are you able to keep the antenna open when in your backpack or pocket??
The tracking mainly only fails when I have a quick 180 change of direction.

Ok, but that I have seen on some logs from people without there body between RC and Spark.
Have you checked with the video, does it support your turns?
Maybe you could try to rise the RC a bit, looks like your handlebar is a bit in the way, between Antennas and Spark sometimes.
Also you could 'play' a bit with the antenna adjustment. One uprightish, one 30-45° inclined?

Great work! I've been wondering how my Spark will do once MTB season kicks in here. This makes me excited to try!

I have played with the playback speed as I do not cycle at normal speed when filming with the RC on my handlebar. I will shortly be getting a 3D printed handlebar mount for the RC. As I am a bit paranoid about flyways, I think I prefer to have the RC immediately available instead of in my backpack / pocket.
