This is a great program for flying a virtual Litchi Mission.  Down Load VLM  save it to your desktop as it is a stand alone program / you must have Google Earth installed 1st PC only at this time.

Steps:
1. Create Mission using Mission Hub ( I do this on my PC ) Have never done it using a phone or tablet.
2. Once created export mission as CVS file to your desktop or folder of your choice
3. Open VLM
4. Click Setup
5. Select the Drone type and click the parameters you want
6. Go to Select CVS File then Browse then Select the CVS file you want to fly
7. Google Earth will automatically open.
8. In the left window panel you will see Temporary Places with your CVS file as a sub folder.
9. Click the arrow icon aside of the CVS file, it will open 2 sub folders ( Virtual Mission ) and ( Diagnostics )
10. Double click on the Virtual Mission folder and it will start flying the Litchi Mission, depending on whether the latest satellite imagery is current in will give you a pretty good representation of your flight using 3D modeling.

Yup, combined with estimating object height and VLM absolutely a great mission planning tool.

Is this free or at a cost like litchi?

Playing back the "Virtual Mission" in Google Earth is fabulous.  But don't overlook the added benefits found in the "Diagnostics" folder that also gets created when the .CSV file is read.  In particular, double-clicking on each of the individual waypoints in Waypoint Views sub-folder in Diagnostics will quickly bring you to that view in Google Earth.

Been using this for awhile now before all my Litchi missions.  I can’t recommend it enough!

Yeah, not sure about this, when opening it attempts to connect to Namirda.dynamic-dns.net for some reason and is flagged as malware by malwarebytes software, looks very dodgy to me

Considering that "Namirda" is the creator of this software, and dynamic-dns is obviously providing a link to his IP address (maybe to check for updates?), it is probably not as big a deal as malwarebytes is making out. Malwarebytes may be giving the same result for anyone who uses dynamic-dns.net.

Check out https://mavicpilots.com/threads/virtual-litchi-mission.31109/ for more details on this software

Block Namirda.dynamic-dns.net to be safe and see if it still runs. Not had chance to try it out yet but will do at some point.

Hello folks,

My first try: installed VLM and GE, change the decimal to a period, created a mission in Litchi Mission Hub and saved it as "csv". Then started VLM and selected the "csv":

Error in log:
Error preparing KML
Application not found

Many idea? Thanks!

Hello again,

I solved my problem. It was caused by an incorrect default app for the KML-file extension. For some reason the default app, also Google Earth was in a directory that does not exist. Don’t ask me why. Probably one of the Microsoft-misteries.

Thanks for any taken effort!

Thank you, great tutorial on VLM!
Quick question: what software did you use to create superimposed Picture-in-Picture effect of both Google Earth and the actual drone footages?
