The latest version of Airmap purportedly will control your drone, though I'm not sure what advantages there are to doing so as the app's flying features seem pretty basic. Anyone try it out yet?

You beat me to this post. Was just looking at this app now on the playstore and wanted to post this

Just came here to ask the same question!

So I tried it yesterday with the Mavic Air - Figured I'd make a tutorial for YouTube...  But I couldn't get past Pending approval to take off, even though everything was green to go.....  The website didn't actually list the Air as compatible, but I think that's just an oversight.  I was able to connect to the controller no problem.

The buttons (camera controls, etc) seemed a little finniky too.

Just got the email this morning from AirMap. I will wait to se if any one has success with it before I give it a try.
