I had a friend come around home today with his MA. We upgraded the Go 4 app.
Then he noted that the CIFT app was on his tablet...he swears he didnt install it? anyone seen this before?

Is that some sort of NFZ type App?

Enlight us, we are here up-above... far away...

CASA restricted zone map app - very much like DJI's NFZ map you can access from a browser. No way it installs itself, so someone's done it for him.

Hey, I'm in Oz, but I didn't recognise the acronym either. haha Yeah, someone else has installed it. It doesn't install itself.

I have to say I like the app - it's very handy, especially when some smart alec questions whether you should be flying where you are. CASA did well to produce and release it.

I thought the Go 4 always ask you to update the no fly zone file. So it is normal and responsible flying no matter which country. I always wonder if the authority ever use YouTube clips to fine those flying in build up areas.

Thanks guys! The operator is an elderly gent and not all that Tech savvy, so I was helping him out. I didn't install CIFT, and he says he didn't, the only thing I did was delete Go 4 and reinstall it from the Playstore!!!

First rule of dealing with IT and users, when they say they haven't installed something means they likely did and didn't remember doing it.

I'm sure you can see somewhere in history of the download ?
