Hi all... After hunting on Amazon.CA I found one sun blocker for my iPhone 6 plus.  Price is around $50.

I'm just wondering if anyone has made their own, or am I going to have to bite the bullet and shell out what seems like a lot of money for something I really don't think is worth $50?

Thanks!!!

I forgot to mention that I live in Canada so have to use Amazon.ca.  There's a lot of them on the US site but if I were to buy one there I really wouldn't be saving much.  The exchange of the dollar and the duty at the border runs the price up pretty quick.  I did see a few models made out of cardboard and they have given me ideas to make my own.

Foam core board works well for DIY, but even poster board holds up pretty good.

Couple of cuts, some glue and duct tape and you have yourself a sunshade. I've found it helps to angle the top down just a little.

Actually, I went to eBay.ca for the very first time ever and found one for $10.36, tax and delivery included.  At this price I figure why bother making one.  I've only used Amazon for years.  I'm thinking that I'll be doing lots of comparisons in future purchases.

Thanks everyone for all your replies and ideas.  Much appreciated!!!  Here's what my $10 got me:
