Well As I understood from many posts and YouTube videos is that the GPS signal tells the drone where it is and based on that it changes the mode from FCC to CE or vise versa.

The GPS signal on the Mavic Pro. Thus a fake GPS Location app won't work?

Yes, the drone will change the mode between FCC and CE automatically according to its location.

I wasn't sure myself. I had to go back in my notes to see if I had the correct answer to the question.
I do not recommend! location problems may occur when activating RTH. Do not risk a $ 1000 drone for another 2km flight and the risk of staying without battery for a landing at the original place
