Hello all...

I got a real stupid question question...I am not a camera/video expert first off

I got two filters that came with the my inspire 1 v2...

The filters that came with the drone are:  

1 UV filter clear
1 ND filer darker tinted

I believe that is what they are called....

Do I need to use them all the time when recording video?

Hi Joe, the transparent filter is called UV filters, which can filter out the UV light, protect the lens from dust. It is used mainly to protect the lens.
The darker one is called ND filters which are used for daylight scenery shooting. They reduce the light intake without affecting the photo colors. For example, if we want to photo the sky and cloud, but the environment lighting is adequate, the ND filters can be used to darken the sky, so that the sky is bluer with more layers and without overexposure.
