The reason why I'm still not filming. The landscape below is absolutely stunning when sun reveals. Now it looks dull and flat. Well, no place to cry, I was trying some long distance flight. And let you know that I'm healthy again and stay tuned for the long ago announced winter video

Nope, just RC~Phone and not many houses around/close by.
Had 2500's before, but this one was surprisingly strong.
I could have gone further, the connection was still good, but I was 'beyond the Batt-RTH' already.
For some hundred meters ;-)
And I really did not want to risk to have to land far away from home.
Lots of rice fields very near the track. Not deep, but still wet!

But the location, mainly NOTHING between you and the bird, even if 90 (xxx)m high, is extremely important.
All my long range flight(test)s around and over 2k I had either high ground myself with some distance to green 'stuff' at the side of the flightpath, or if on ground level myself, nothing near/in the flightpath.

Today I could make it only to 1,5k.
Mainly b/c I sticked with the height limit but had to fly over 5m high green in about 50m distance to the Homepoint

Fresnel zone is bi*ch - I fly 150-200 to avoid trees. Works fine
