Power consumption compression vs. transmission

Is there anyone knowlegable enough to advise if H.265 compression for a 4k video stream or greater consumes vastly more power than transmitting the compressed video (using MIMO and UEP) over 802.11 (for 300m).  HEVC uses more processing power than H.264 - but is it much more significant than the amount of power used to transmit video data for a drone in clear line of sight?

4K: 3840×2160 24/25/30p @100Mbps

I'm interested in the difference between power used in transmission vs power used in compression for the high quality video models of UAV.  If these don't need to go far from the pilot (just a few hundred meters) and with current VLSI multi-processor technology in the latest drones, has the amount of power used for H.265 compression of 4k reduced to less than that which is required to transmit or is it still much much more? Perhaps an enthusiast or designer has some ballpark idea or figures please?
