Hi to all,
I'm trying to upload my first videos on youtube. I tried to download a 4K video from my mavic air by removing the microsd card and simply pasting the video on my pc. Then I uploaded video on youtube and in some minutes I saw that the resolutions available are now 144p, 240p, 360p, 480p, 720p, 1080p and not 4K. Anyone knows why and how to have also the 4K resolution? Original video is 3840 x 2160 px recorded at 103562kbps and 29.97 fps.

Is the Computer you are connecting to YouTube capable of 4K video?  I believe YouTube won't show 4K option unless your viewing device is capable.

That's correct and it also depends on your bandwidth.

You may have to wait a little longer before the 4K resolution is available. I've been able to do this before.
Question for you: On the computer on which you're trying to view your own video, can you see any other 4K videos? That's an important question to answer here.

Like was said, it can take longer for the 4k option to show up on youtube.  I'm pretty sure that if the video is uploaded in 4k, you can select the option manually regardless of connection speed or device.  

Thanks a lot to all, the answer is yes, my PC is able to see 4K videos, I can see other videos posted by other users here in the forum in 4K resolution and other similar videos. But my video max resolution is still 1080p max. I don't know why...

I will try tomorrow..today after posting video the only resolution available was 360p. After 30 minutes also the others were available. I will try tomorrow and let you know..thanks for answer totalitarian.

Tried now but no 4k selector video is available. Any suggestion? This morning I will try with another video but are all the same type of video. Is there any flag or something to do in order to have the video in 4k uploaded?

from today, after 2 days I am able to see also the 1440p and 2160p option. Thanks a lot to all for your help.

Yup. 2K is mostly fine, but 4K takes quite a while to be processed by Youtube servers.

They need new hamsters to run them

After you uploaded the video, did it take 2 days to have the 4k option available?
