I'm new to spark and to the go 4 app. While trying to look for signal strength information i see that the RSSI bars are empty. Is it common?

Thanks

I have the same issue when connected to the remote controller. RSSI is blank.
If I disconnect the remote controller (hold battery button for 6 seconds until 2 beeps are heard) & connect directly to the Spark, then RSSI works.

I'm using the latest DJI Go app for android on a 2.4Ghz only device. 5.8Ghz information is not available.
The behaviour of the wifi settings varies, depending on the connection method - direct or to the remote controller.

I guess it's normal but  can't find any documentation to explain. Maybe it works on IOS and/or needs a 5.8Ghz device?

My initial 'spark' activation was in FCC area, after few days i flew back to my country that works in CE mode. I thought maybe there was an error during the setting update from FCC to CE.
And after reading post in the other forum (sparkpilot) regarding the missing bars, I enforce the app changing from CE to FCC (youtube) and the issue was fixed.
Didn't had the time to change back and see if it works in CE mode also.

Hope this will help you solve your issue to.

I believe here in Australia the default mode is CE.
The wifi channel index shows 13 2.4 Ghz channels in CE mode & 11 in FCC mode?
After using the fake gps hack I have 11 x 2.4 Ghz & assume FCC mode?
Either way, I can't see  RSSI., unless I connect without RC.  I don't know  - online documents from DJI needs updating to support IOS & Android.

Hi there, may I know which mobile device do you use? Have you checked this in the outdoor with good GPS signal? Any difference?

Hi Susan. I have a ZTE Blade A462 (Telstra 4GX Plus). Android 6.0.1.

2.4 Ghz interference is displayed if I connect direct between the device & Spark. If I connect via RC nothing is displayed. Why ask about GPS? This is a wifi problem.

Are you using DJI GO4 App 4.2.12 for Android ?

Even though they say OTG was supported I suggest rolling back to Version 4.1.15 as this new version had many bugs like - 'AIRCRAFT LOCK' etc...

v4.1.15 was a very stable Version for Android users.

Of course it will, and you can easily use OTG Cable From Remote to the Phone, with the Version 4.2.12 as its the most stable.

The 3 other New Versions all have bugs on Android, so I don't recommend.

Just give it a test, if you don't like it, you can easily upgrade back to the Lastest Version.

There are many Pilots using the 4.1.15 which was the Best Version ever.

Good Day Mate.

I have a similar issue with a T-mobile (Alcatel) REVVL phone (Android 7), that does not have 5.8 GHz capability.  Works fine on a Samsung S8 though.
I have not bothered to pay much attention to this when I fly.  Things seem to work fine otherwise.
It is either tied to the phone features I suspect.
All of my softwares/firmwares are the latest.

Good Morning from Germany,

im having the same problem. I cant see the bars in the wifi-menu and I CANT SWITCH TO 2,4GHz. Its needed to be conform to CE.
I wont fly with 5,8GHz betwen controller and Spark. The Distance-Range in 5.8GHz is feelable shorter then with 2,4GHz.
Is there any solution to fix the problem? The firmwares are the following:
Spark: 01.00.1000(AC)
Remote: 01.00.0600(RC)
DJI GO 4: 4.3.12
Smartphone: Samsung Galaxy J6 (2018) - Octacore CPU + 3GB RAM

And would ist be possible to allow to edit the image styles (Contrast, Saturation, Sharpness) ? It would be great if i can edit ist. The images from the spark are a little bit oversharped.

Thank you very much,

Stefan from Germany.
