I have my Spark since November, and its top speed has always been a little more than 30 kph / 20 mph. I have done a complete reset of everything (Firmware downgraded and upgraded again and done a factory reset, DJI GO deleted and reinstalled), and now my top speed is over 50 kph / 30 mph. I'm sure it's not just the displayed speed, the AC flies visibly much faster (almost 55 kph), it's really cool. My question is: Where did I have this speed limit set before? I certainly wasn't stuck in beginner mode, because everything else is exactly the same, nothing else has changed (and beginner mode has a lot more restrictions).

the 50km/h speed can be reached in Sport mode. so toggle the switch on RC to Sport and you'll reach a bit above 50km/h

I have managed 35mph but most flights it is between 30 - 32mph

Very wild guess is stick sensitivity... If not at 100%, Spark won't reach max speed at full forward.

Thank you! Of course it's impossible to know for certain what it was, but there is a setting for speed in the controller menu, it must have been set to less than 100%:

stick sensitivity or maybe you were in gps mode without obstacle avoidance or something

also if you have intelligent flight modes disabled sport mode is slow.

Are you sure? I think Intelligent flight modes are NOT available in sport mode at all, or where it is that you can disable and enable them?

sorry my dji go 4 app is now in german. i'm pretty sure the setting was called enable intelligent flight modes or enable multiple flight modes, and it is in the aircraft settings (top tab).

Wow.... looks like someone from DJI is actually reading this forum. Somewhere else I've suggested former option for this (like in ver 4.1.14 or so) be renamed from Sensitivity to Speed as previous setting name was confusing and now it tells exactly what it is... This is much cleaner wording that actually makes sense.

53.5 kph so far is my top speed on spark

65khp/ 40 mph has been my spark top speed. I've done 1,640 feet as well but with permission from the local airport. I know people have said its impossible to gain that speed but my previous for 3 months had been 34.7 miles per hour
