Went out to a local lake that is usually filled with alligators, not many around this morning as we had a cold snap last night. 1st half shot with P3P and the 2nd half with the MP.
Did manage to get 1 Gator sunbathing on top of the water, didnt' realize it until viewing the footage afterwards or I would have gone over to investigate. Comes in at 2:15 mid/left side of the frame. Looks like a log but is actually a gator. Lots of Herons around, even a Great Blue Heron raised it's wings at the drone as it flew over.

Well, the herons don't seem to worry too much about the gators.  Perhaps the gators in that area are like horses - herbivores?

Gator as in alligator! a snapping mouth full of teeth with a taste for beings.................. humans beings...  must be as mad as a box of frogs getting close to those fellas, standing there looking at a screen and the chomp chomp sneaks up and nom nom nom dinner served. Nahhhhh not for me, now fluffy little bunnies that would be different they don't eat people lol

hope you don't swim in that lake!  Gators, no thank you, I would not even get in a boat out on that lake with gators around, but I imagine the people around there are quite accustomed to them. The only thing that we have up here are maybe water snakes which are non venomous and still people will not swim in a lake where they are known to be there.

Just imagined a scenario where your MP auto-lands on low battery and you have to race the alligator to get to it first!!
