Hi guys! Today Mavic flew 15,752 meters total distance with one battery and landed with 11% battery! 24 minutes flight and with obstacle avoidance sensors disabled.
This is an new record for me. And I wonder what the limits of the mavic platinum.
The next target is the 16000 meters

It was not a distance test

Officially, the max total flight distance off of one battery with the MPP is 15KM (13KM with the original MP). So you've already smashed it!

my friend, I do not think the dji knows the real capabilities of the mavic as we know them

Most of the values will be heavily dependent on a number of variables such as environmental conditions, age of the batteries and motors etc - I think DJI tend to give more conservative estimates but I'm sure they know the capabilities of the drones they design and manufacture LOL

I rarely get more than 7.5k - but then again I'm just flying for filming - not for distance - so always an out leg and a return leg, which can often mean going into the wind and then riding a following wind back to base.

No way...

You fared better than my 14,090 feet range test posted on these boards.

i fly for many reason. this was a test, to we see all the capabilities of the mavic

I'm just curious, but when did you perform your range test? I did mine last last week.

That is quite impressive.  On the standard MP in one run I got a total distance of 44,839 feet(not just far out and back) And another run of a total of 42,630 feet(20,110 feet) out and back.  

Great record.

wow very good performance.
In this flight I do is always a question decide when come back for battery energy !!! If you have a infront wind and not enough battery ..........

That is very impressive.  Just wish I had the MPP.  On my MP I just set a new personal best of total feet 48,594 feet(9.2 Miles) with an out distance of 22,698 feet(4.3 Miles)  Did not know about turning off obstacle avoidance to get faster speed and less battery usage.  So tried and sure enough was able to get a total of 9.2 miles today on my MP.

I think if you have the platinum, you would go further than me well done!

Impressive! A warm prompt, I don't suggest pursuing new top distance record, be cautious and pay attention to the battery level when flying.
