If I open the OPTION INI file without running the FRAP first its (HEDERS) look like this.
[HEADERS]
1=Secs
2=Time
3=LAT
4=LON
5=FlightMode
6=ALT
7=ALT VPS

9=HD
10=HomeLAT
If I run the FRAP it looks like this.
[HEADERS]
1=
2=
3=
4=

Is this normal?

nope, should not be empty. will look into that too
just donwload that ini file again and use that one.

Have found the reason. If you open FRAP and the path for .TXT files is wrong [HEADERS] will bee empty.
If I edit the config file before running FRAP [HEADERS] is right.
Still having the grrr error.
I'm starting to think this is related to Windows 7 or virus program.

Hi G-Sig, if you did open the CSV file with excel it mayby got corrupted. Try to delete the CSV and open the TXT file in the program. (use the latest version of the conversion tool).

I will PM you a link to exe with kind of debugging written into that, when ypu get the file tell me the code bottem left on the screen. Just need to know when in the programm this error pops up. (and wich txt file you use, or does this error is always there?)

The new version works perfect with some files that gave me "not valid floating point value". I think this tool has potential to become the de-facto Windows analyzer, I do not really like to a lot relays on the online phantomhelp one.

Hi eried, thanks for your info. If some files gives that error it means that some file are not correctly converted. I had once a file where the city name and region was divided with a extra comma, so all the fields after that specific field were wrongly read.

Can you sent me a file wich gives this error? (so i can get a error-work-around procedure to 'loose' this error)

If i have time mayby some suggestion will be written into the program.

You are doing a great job.  

From what I have read about Flight Logs (.txt) file, there are numerous unknowns.   Making it hard to write programs that extract important information.  It is to bad DJI's is playing its cards so close to vest.

The error does not appear in the latest version I will send you any broken file, if any

HI G-Sig, thanks for the csv files. I know now what the problem is ; flightrecords files P4 prof have a different sequence format than the Spark and MA. Meaning that the data is converted and sorted in different columns than where i look for.....ofcourse this will result in many errors!
If the data is the same but only in different order than its possible to adjust my program, have to look into that.

So for now, Spark and MA does work, mayby other Types (mavic pro works as well i think) but not a P4P.
Update program tomorrow on here

The conversing tool has been updated ; 2 more columns now in the CSV file. So people who use the older vesion has no problem, people who use the latest version gets lots of errors.

Problem solved. (my update programm will use the latest tool).

Was testing more records and found that the oldest flight log from P3S don't open do to other format.
If that happen its best to open it in Phantomhelp and save it again then it work.
Have not yet found record which you cant open in this.

My first and only crass.

Actually this program was made for Spark and Mavic Air as i own both. (easy testing on your own flightrecords).
Any other DJI type wich works is a bonus to read.

THank you for providing this useful application.  I am having trouble running it on a Windows 10 system.  Using FRAP version 4-May-2018, when I try to open a flight record from a Mavic Air, I get the following error dialog box.



I have tried renaming it without special characters, same error message.
TXTlogToCSVtool.exe version 2018/04/21 is in the same directory as FRAP.exe (confirmed present in Options->Configuration).
It successfully converts the FlightRecord.txt file if I do it manually.

What am I doing wrong?  I can provide the original .txt and converted .csv if needed.

Mayby its a known error for me, if the txt file is in a directory not close to the root this can cause this error.
This error originates from the conversion tool.

if so, try to put your flightrecord closer to the root. i.e. x:\txtfiles\flightrecord.txt....

Hey JJB, last time we spoke you asked if we had any suggestions for the next update. IMO I think if there was a scrollable horizontal bar/line when reading 4x graphs to line up peaks/valleys with the reference numbers on the side of the graph(s) would be useful. Don't know if this is a lot of work definitely not necessary but more of a luxury. Thanks for you ongoing contribution !!

Any chance your program has a library call that is picking up on localized (country) settings of Windows comptuer system or Windows user account?

In this case picking up on number format differences.  1.234.567,89 vs. 1,234,567.89

Not sure if a moving line peak values is possible, if yes than mayby if i have time.

Yes, well its hard-coded now, so user can choose now if a comma or dot is used.
