Hi JJB,

Something i have noticed with your software is that the errors/notifications differ from upload site such as AIRdata. In one example where a drone had lost a propeller(not attached correctly), the notifcation section reported numerous Motor Obstructed errors, these don't show in FRAP.
Is this an error or do i just not have the correct data line selected?

Hi Ben,

FRAP does not miss an error if error is written in the flightlog.txt.
I have no idea fron where Airdata is getting the errors.
If from the same txt file than i would love to have this file!

Hi, stupid questions are questions wich are not ask!

Flightrecord files are on the mobile device wich hold the GoApp.
On android look for the folder DJI / DJI app / Flightrecords

FRAP to be downloaded, see > https://forum.dji.com/thread-145649-1-1.html (oops, that this thread at #1)

Hi Ben,

FRAP does not miss an error if error is written in the flightlog.txt.

It seems like only Airdata has these messages, in my case they make sense though, as there were a lot of motor obstructions. Is it possible that FRAP is not accessing a plot of data in the txt record files ?
I cannot provide my flight record but it should be possible to check, comparing any flight record on FRAP and Airdata, to see the different notifications.

Would like to add, thanks a lot for this.  Its an exceptionally useful program to debug flight logs and see whats going on.
Helping me to an extent work out why in a sudden wind that appeared my drone was drifting sideways and unable to go forward! (and also, related, make me doubt AirDatas max wind calculation for the same flight).

A few suggestions (feel free to say no, i know its effort!) or things im missing.  Is it possible to reorder the columns in the display to sort by for example warnings, pitch etc.
Also, is there any way to jump to the line in the log summary by clicking on an event on the graph (a warning or pitch etc)?

Hi,

My program will convert a flightrecord txt file into a csv file, so no need to do it yourself!

Can you please clarify? The TXTlogToCSVtool is by another author. (???)  Your program simply displays the csv values. It does not convert data from the .txt file into a .csv file directly.  Your program is appreciated - simple to read, but the main contributor is  https://phantompilots.com/thread ... v-converter.70428/.

Funny story about the Busa you mentioned. My father in law used to ride motorbikes in his 20's, all illegal and uninsured and he didn't even have a license. A few years back, because of me and my wife enjoying biking so much, he decided that he would want to join the fun with us (late midlife crises?), so he mailed us a picture of a bike he saw, Yes, a Hayabusa.
We called him crazy and assured him he really shouldn't do it and we would be worried.  Two days later he called, if my wife could pick up his new bike because he still didn't have a license ofcourse...
What my wife came back with wasn't really a surprise

**Notice : OFF TOPIC - Like a Kawasaki ZZR1100 @ 300km/h up the highway. Twist the handle to the max in each gear & click up. Hang on. Feels good - scary & most likely illegal - must be good. Once, twice - didn't try a third time... Not that crazy! Worth every second - if it was a Honda it would 'FLY' with wings - The Busa is about the fastest today -  they are all speed limited now (??).  Your father-in-law deserves a medal. Crazy!

Is there any reason its showing me flight mode as "GPS-Atti" for flights off mine drone and someone elses when the flight mode was actually P-GPS (and verified on phantom help and airdata)?

Hi, the txt to csv conversion tool i use convert p-gps mode into gps_atti. Thats all, guess the conversion tools convert mode to plain differrnt text. Cheers JJB

Hi,
3 times a Frap user is informed by me that i use an external conversion tool. In the help and about in FRAP and in the install txt.
So wich point are you trying to make?
FRAP gives the user good and easy insight of flown data, not all of the users can read csv files easily.

First of all, congratulations to FRAP.
I do not know if I skipped a post but I wonder if I can use FRAPS to read the Mavic Air logs (DAT) and how to do it.

Hi JJBspark,

First of all, congratulations to FRAP.

Hi, nope; FRAP reads only flightrecord txt files.
Its what i call a first line analysis tool, guess in 80% it will tell the analist what happend during flight.

Hi HedgeTrimmer,

Mayby i can help you if u understand it right.

If you have the CSV file from Phantomhelp (the verbose version) than put this is a pre-defined directory in FRAP. In that same directory make a new (empty) txt file with exactly the same name but ofcourse with TXT as extension. FRAP will think that this txt file has already been converted by FRAP and loads the CSV file with the same name!

Let me know of this is what you wanted to know.

BTW if you download a CSV file from phantomhelp you can download the txt file too. (so guess i do not understand your question really...)

Trying to explain...

No longer have .TXT file, and no Web link to original Phantomhelp output.  Been long enough doubt Web link would even work if I had it booked marked.

However, I still have CSV file (from Phantomhelp).  I was going to try running CSV file through FRAP.
CSV file I do have is normal version, not Verbose version of CSV file.

Ok, FRAP uses the extended CSV file (the verbose version) so it cannot load the shorter one.
