What I would like to know is if they are going to release ProRes RAW for the X5S. Would make SSD management and file management so much easier.

14-bit CinemaDNG recording has already been available in the last firmware upgrade. A second firmware update offering Apple ProRes RAW support and the newly added exFAT file system will be available in late May, appreciate your patience.

Well that's terrible news.

There is no reason to don’t do it for X5. This is only marketing...

Seriously, if they made it available for the X5s I would be purchasing the license and SSDs right away.

It's not an inconvenience, it's an outright injustice! If you have paid for the CinemaDNG and *ProRes* license, as I think many X5S users have, they have all the right to get this ProRes update. They have paid the same amount of license cost to DJI!!!!

Good, because buyers of a license have all the right to get what they paid for. We have paid for CinemaDNG, we have paid for all ProRes functions.

Yes, an Inspire 2 with an X5S is NOT excluded from the license. DJI CAN'T exclude people from something they already paid for!

I assume you see to it so engineers, DJI management and everyone all the way up in the chain... FAST!

Is only 6K 23fps in Proress RAW or there is other resolution and fps ?

Apple PreRes RAW hasn't been released, the next firmware will be released soon. Please check more details when it is released, thanks for your attention.

Well, there *Must* be good news.

I think I understand what DJI wants to do, to give X7 owners something extra, something X5S user will not get, in order to perhaps sell more X7 cameras.

However, that is a very, very wrong and perhaps also illegal way, since X5S users who bought the DNG and ProRes licens have all the rights to get the functions Apple have agreed to with DJI and the Inspire 2 (see link posted in the previous post). The license itself is attached to the Inspire 2, not the camera itself. There is also no excuse hardware wise to deny X5S users the right to ProRes RAW. Apple have updated their software, for a license we have already bought from DJI!

What DJI does is like the following:
Two persons (person A and person B), buys a car of the same make and model from the same car shop, for the same amount of money albeit on different days. Person A bought the car 1 week earlier then person B.

Person B gets the car with all the bells and whistles.
Person A gets the car, but before delivery the car shop strips out the stereo system and headlamps.

In that way the newer buyer gets to feel he got a better deal...

Well, DJI, it do hurt the core supporters, we who support your products by buying them early. How long to you think core supporters will stay?
