Hi, I know I'm becoming a right pain but I'm New to this. I just Can't get Dji Assistant 2 to recognise my controller and download the firmware update? Thanks for any help.

Try installing the current version of the DJI Assistant 2 application. You can download the installer here:

This the firmware currently in use. How does this compare to yours?

I just read that the rc wouldn't be recognised by assistant 2 anyway. I can't find any firmware on the app for the rc and the phantom says it's up to date. I'm done in by all this tbh lol

The "-" at the end of "01.03.00.00-" means your remote controller firmware is not updated.

Do you see a prompt to install the firmware update on the main screen of DJI GO?

Only the Phantom is updated via Assistant 2 software. To update the RC, connect it to your phone/tablet and open the DJI GO 4 app. Make sure your phone/tablet has an internet connection. When you open the app, it should advise you if there is an update available. Otherwise, long press on the three bars, top right hand corner and it will show you if an update is available. Just follow the prompts to update.

Nice to see the issue has been figured out. Currently, the P4P RC is not available to update via DJI Assistant 2, please kindly note.

It would be nice if you posted the solution that worked for you and also add a [Solved] in the subject field on #1, then it might help the next with similar trouble.

Well yes thanks, i did think of posting it here so with a little luck the next searching on a problem also would see the possible solutions suggested and the final solution for your case but WtH they might as well get the new thread up in the search results.

Hello Jan. To up date your RC turn power on then you should see three horizontal lines in the top right hand corner of the screen. Put your finger there for a long press. Screen should change to a menu with available updates if applicable. Choose one and this should put you right if that was the problem. I know how frustrating it is so feel free to get in touch and i will help if i can. Good luck

Any reason why? The RC used to connect to Assistant 2 perfectly, and display the current version.
Why was this option removed? I've been trying for days to connect!!
