Trying out the a cell phone from BestBuy called the Huaei Elate 4G LTE with 16GB of Memory, a Cricket Phone. Testing it with both the P3S and MP because of the two versions of the DJI Go App. I pretty much removed several of the unnecessary apps and installed a 16Gig memory card. I wanted to use this phone so that I don't run the risk of damaging my Samsung Galaxy 6. I did recently replace that phone due to a crack screen (dropped while flying) and the battery life was getting terrible.
I did not activate the phone, but did connect it to my home wireless in order to download the DJI Go Apps.
I flew both birds yesterday and did not notice any issues. Battery life is really impressive, screen is much bigger than my Samsung, and the cost was @ $65.00 US. So far, I am quite impressed. I had made a hood for the Samsung, but since the Huaei phone is larger, well, guess I will make another one.
