Hi,
My new Spark takes at least 2 hours to fully charged, I am wondering if that's normal...

I need to point out though that my Spark was shipped from the UK (though iit was sold on Amazon.de for the German market) and unfortunately it came with a wrong outlet.

No big issue as I have a normal outlet here in which I plugged the Spark USB cable.

I also tried a converter outlet but that did not charge at all.

Any idea please? This is not a huge issue with me though I do not want to abuse my batteries, hence the question.

Cheers,

Adam

You should use the charger that come with the Spark.

What are the specs of the charging block you are using.  The lower spec it is, the slower it will charge.  I believe the one that comes with the Spark is 5V/3A.  If you are only using a 1amp charger, it will take significantly longer to charge.

Thanks, I will check once back, not sure if there is any text on it.

As long as the increased charging time is the only result of this I can live with it.

I would, but I was supplied with a UK plug that does not work in my country

Hi,

The UK one I received and can't use is 5V/1000mA (so 1A), however the one I am using has an output of 5V/1.8A.

The Spark manual has the below:

Input        100-240 V; 50/60 Hz; 0.5 A
Output        5 V/3 A; 9 V/2 A; 12 V/1.5 A

So I assume I can't go wrong if I buy a 5V/3A USB outlet to speed things up...

Cheers,

Adam
