I began to notice that after a period of use (sunny day) the screen of my iphone dims (decreases the brightness) even if the automatic brightness and automatic locking are disabled.
One way to prove it might be to update DJI Go 4 to V4.2.14, which promised 'bug fixes', perhaps this was one.
I flew my Mavic Pro yesterday using V4.2.14 and iOS 11.3.1 without noticing any problems.

Hi TZero, just to verify, will this issue happen when using other apps? If it only happens when using the DJI GO 4, please try to restart your mobile device, or reinstall the DJI GO 4 app, remember to back up the files and sync the flight records before removing the app. Please keep us updated if the issue persists.
Yes, it happens on the iPad Pro running the latest iOS.
I hate to say it, but (at least on the iPad) it's thermal shutdown. The DJI Go 4 app is so resource intensive, the iOS device gets hot and dims the screen to avoid damage. In hot weather, I've had my screen turn off completely, and a message pop up saying the iPad has to cool down! Gonna see more of those days as it gets hotter here in SoCal.

Now that you asked, I started to think. I also tested with LITCHI and it gave the same problem. My iphone is relatively new (10 months) and I noticed that this problem started after I upgrade to iOS 11.3.1. I'm going to try to downgrade iOS 11.3
Thanks for the tip

Thank you for your update. Hope this issue will also resolve by the OS update.
Settings > General > Accessibility > Display Accommodations > Auto-Brightness
That's not the problem. It's a thermal shutdown issue. The device gets hot and dims the screen to help cool and protect the device. If it continues to get hotter, it turns the screen off entirely. If it gets hotter still, it actually turns off the device! This is caused by the DJI Go 4 app being a seriously bloated piece of software which is overly processor intensive.
