Hey, i’ve recently been looking to buy a DJI drone, (phantom 3 se) but i heard something about the DJI go app restricting where you Can go according to Your country’s regulations.
Is  there anyone who knows if this is a real thing and if Yes, What are the restrictions in Belgium because there are different classes that determine How high and where you Can go.
Thx in Advance for any help -Tyler

As a hobbiest, many of the strict restrictions and regulations are not important.

But there are always bylaws to associate with and local permits that may be required.

Hi.

You can access the link here; https://www.dji.com/flysafe/geo-map   and see where DJI officially prevents you from flying. You should also investigate where your country's government prevents you from flying and it's even more important than what/how DJI freaks around. I do not know the Belgian link address, but Google can find it for you.

Regards Leif.

You might check out airmap.io

It will often give tips regarding the regulations in your country.

Good luck

I was under the impression that Belgium is one of the worst to fly in, their regs are very strict, i mean, 10m high aint a lot lol
I shouldnt laugh, UK might follow suit

Hi Tyler, it is recommended to check the GEO map from here: https://www.dji.com/cn/flysafe/geo-map
The regulations might be different in various regions, please check before flying.

DJI's only height limit is 500m above home point. It won't let you go further up. You can set your own limit in the app.
Also DJI doesn't restrict flying unless you are in an Authorization or No-Fly-Zone. The app is not asking for a license # or similar.

So you can do pretty much what you want.
Following local regulations is a responsibilty on your shoulders alone.
