I'm running an older firmware on my Mavic which has been perfectly stable and the bird works flawlessly. I've been also using a dedicated non-connected for it, no wi-fi, no mobile connection, nothing.

For a little while I've been considering getting a CrystalSky, mainly for the screen brightness, which has been driving me crazy on my phone, during full daylight...

I assume CrystalSky will come with the most to date FW and latest version of DJI GO App, but will it require to update my bird to work?

No, although I would always recommend using the latest firmware for the aircraft as well.

Chalde, CS will work with older firmware of Mavic pro but we will always recommend users to update their drone to the latest firmware. Thanks for your support.
