Good question.
So much for the long awaited phantom 5 lol.
Havent really looked at the specs but dont see much difference from the p4p.
Certainly not going to bother upgrading to v2.

The Phantom compares itself to something else?
Not sure what you mean but if you want comparisons look no further than the FAQ for the new version.

Seems the major changes are more efficient motors (potentially giving you a few more minutes of flight time), transmitter having Occusync support (like the Mavic), and the new low-noise blades (which you should be able to soon buy as an accessory for other Phantom 4s).

All nice to haves, but the camera is the same as the Pro V1.0, so for me there isn't a compelling reason to upgrade - unless I own the DJI Goggles (with Occusync).

lol - sure someone had gone slaughtered, had they made the same setup as for the Mavic Air release and then presented about nothing new.

It is presented in the News Room, that should do it for this change i think.

I would like to try the goggles first.  I don't know how different or better it would be.

I'm hoping they come out with some kind of adapter for the Phantom 4 Pro so you can use the goggles wirelessly

I sincerely doubt they will ever bring out a waterproof Phantom, they are in the business of making aircraft, not boats. Waterproof belongs to the selfie types.

Oh dear, yet another jerk. Not much point flying in the rain either, it is a flying camera and the shots look like crap with water on the lens.

So when im flying it and oh it starts to rain. And you get water damage. then the drone gets broken. Yes "Jerk" stfu. Then they would not have to repair so many drones.

Actually stupid, they don't repair water damaged aircraft at all. Get a brain, you will enjoy the improvement.
