Wifey bought me another P3S to replace the last one after I got a little disappointed with DJI CS  and sold it ... And here we go again , threw several hours of flight time on the new one , and took it out today for a quick fly with the kids . Everything was going great for the first few minutes , the all of a sudden it just dropped out of the sky .... 160ft to the  ground in a matter of seconds .... Upon review of the flight data , there's no reason at all for this to have occurred . Sticks were not in descend , were not in safety stop , nothing . I was well above any trees and not near any power lines . It' just took it upon itself to commit suicide ...  So I guess now I have a broken paperweight ..... Any hopes of getting DJI to review e flight data and replacing it ???  After my lay go round with DJI customer support I don't have high hopes . Just an empty wallet ...

I would start a ticket for support, DJI can get a lot of data off the drone when they get it. Did you watch it fall and did you take the missing props off yourself before you took the photo.

Yes I pulled the two props off , they were not damaged and I pulled them before putting it back in the case . And yes I watched it fall from the sky .... Really depressing ....  I have sent an email to DJI , but again , I don't have high hopes for the CS .....

Try to be optimistic, I would be gutted as well but I’ve read quite a few stories of CS providing a good outcome.

We will see , but the last attempts of dealing with them were horrendous . To the point I sold the drone .... I have checked and double checked the flight data . And I find no reason why it suddenly just stopped ..... Really I hope they will review the data and replace it , but I don't have high hopes at all ....

If you post your flight logs here someone may be able to shed some light on the matter.

Here’s the link, just follow the instructions and post a link back here to the report it generates http://www.phantomhelp.com/LogViewer/Upload/

So just asking, but you haven't given a lot of detail about what happen other than it fell out of the sky. By that I mean, what was you battery power, wind speed, etc. Not trying to criticize at all, but a little more info would help. You said the flight data showed nothing, but is that you analyzing it or DJI? Again just asking since you didn't upload the data here for anyone to help look at it. I understand you are just asking if DJI would help you, and that is for them to decide actually, but if you would like some other to give any comments or feedback, the data is critical. Very sorry to hear about your misfortune, especially now that it is your second time around. I feel for you! Hope you do get some help from DJI my friend.

I wish you had started out with a fully charged battery.  One cell is weak and it did have total power loss.  You said it was new, so the battery should have been in better shape.  Only thing is, will DJI say that reason for power loss was no fully charged battery.  It's worth a shot for sure.   Good luck and sorry this happened to ya.

That was the second takeoff . First flight of the day had a nearly full battery . Still no reason for a total power loss .... Hopefully they will see the flaw and take responsibility , otherwise I'm done with drones ..... I'll stick to my FPV trucks ..

Anytime a cell gets close to 3.3 it's in really bad shape.  It was close to falling the first flight.  Did you ever charge initially after receiving the drone?  If you had just started at 100%., your case would have been open and shut for a faulty new battery.  It still may be,  Press them hard.

I'm sure it was 100% charged on last nights flight , it still had 3 bars and 68%  today so I had no fears of flying as that doesn't seem near dead to me . Or anywhere near needing to worry about for that matter .

I'm not the type to push on them hard , either they replace it and keep me as a user or they don't . Clearly there was no fault of my own . This was a hardware issue ....

I don't expect  much from DJI to be honest .....  My wife bought me #2 without  really checking the manufacture . Only looking online ... I wouldn't have had another DJI product after last time dealing with the CS staff ...

Hell even attempting to open a repair order was met with frustration as it keeps rejecting my email address .so that was a lost cause ...  Pulling my hair out over this nonsense ....

That's great and all , but Thats the first I've heard of it today . I work nights , I charged to 100% before I went to work last night  , took a flight , was at 72% when I landed . After work this morning I fired it up , showed 68% , seemed perfectly safe to fly ... Dropped from 180ft onto concrete ....  Seems like a flaw on DJIs side if these things show a incorrect voltage and just randomly die mid flight ....  Not cool at all ...really hoping they will see the data and agree .... And replace this damn thing ....

A really good rule to stick to is, never take of with a partially charged battery. Always put a freshly charged battery in the aircraft before you leave the ground. Even if you come back from a short flight, change to a fresh battery before flying again. And always charge your batteries just before flying. Don't charge them and leave them for a fgew days before flying.

I sent an email, and was advised to open a case.  when I try to open the case it would not take my email address. I was then told to manually reply with all of the answers to their questions. Now I'm waiting to hear back on a reply. After reading a lot of similar threads I don't have a lot of hopes of getting DJI to replace this drone.

It means there are other radio sources in the area causing interference to the airctaft and controller. He is in the middle of an urban area, dozens of WiFi routers and other devices surrounding him.

I removed the stock red and changed them to the blue color . In the box when new is several colors to change it out to .

As far as the interference detected , it was covered in the reply above . Not really anything to concern about at such short flight distances I would imagine

Short distance has nothing to do with it, I finally found that my interference (WiFi)  kept happen when I got close to my neighbors fence. It was later discovered to be his dog WiFi fence! P3S can have all kinds of issues do to interference, I think in your case it might have been the charging of the battery too early before a flight, and not putting in a fresh battery (100% charged) before each flight.
I know I made that mistake myself. I fully charged my batteries, made a short flight testing a waypoint mission. I did not change the battery (it had 75%) took off and the next thing I know it was RTH on it's own...then I saw the battery had dropped to a low than expected %. I never take off with less than 100% battery!
I was lucky and it did not have a complete loss of power.
I hope things work out for you.

I'm being stalled out, and I know it now. What is so hard about just attaching The shipping label to the email? All I am getting is stall tactics every single time I emailed DJI ..every email is Matt with the same dumb apology for the delay, and another excuse about whatever the current delay is... I am ready to just throw this damn thing in the dumpster and cut my losses.... This is the absolute worst customer service experience I have ever been subjected to by any company, ever in my life

Not gonna lie, I'm so fed up with trying to deal with DJI that I'm just gonna get on every single YouTube video , twitter , Facebook etc , and i'm going to flame the hell out of them until I get some service/a new drone in the mail  . This is absolutely no way to treat a customer who spends hundreds of dollars on your product. But after doing some more research I see this is very common place from DJI and is pretty much to be expected. Words cannot describe the level of frustration and anger that I possess right now in dealing with this paper weight and dealing with the company who manufactures and sells said paperweights...
