Motors don't shut off when MA is tilted 90 degrees?

Latest firmware and my MA doesnt shut off its motors when tilted to the side? It used to on the last firmwares. Anyone else?

I tried to turn my MA 90 degree without prop and it stop. I am in the last firmware. Don't want to try with prop as may be dangerous.

and why you are doing that? Some dji administrator please tell people that turning off mavic with tilting to the side is bad... You can hand catch drone it´s easier and better...

Why is it bad? I find it easier, and safer than hand landing. I catch it in the air and tilt it. Landing on the palm seems much more risky to your fingers and dropping the drone. I would like your point of view.

There's nothing bad about tilting the bird to stop the motors when you are in a tight situation and regular landing isn't an option.
I often use this when I am on the boat or fly in the woods.

Hold out hand beneath aircraft, left stick down, land in hand.
Keep hand/AC in same position, secure (hold) AC, continue left stick down until motors stop.

Comparing that with grabbing at a flying blender then twisting it until it screams and dies. More risk to digits and needless stress on the motors.

I know which method I prefer.

Try doing this on a boat when you are constantly moving. Anyways this isn't about ones preferred method of landing,its about that one method isn't currently working for me.
I flew yesterday, 7 out of 10 times the motors would stop when tilted. I think it might have something to do with the speed of the tilt. How ever i have not had noticeable issues before the the latest firmware.

The motor still on when you stay on tilt over 90 degrees? Can you take a video to show us?

Try tilt slowly to see if work better. May have safety feature to prevent motor stop in flight if aircraft tilt by sudden wind.

Going to try the slow tilt. Hand yes the motors stay on and seem to increase speed as if the craft is fighting the tilt. You might be right.

I will give it a try on the Air 2. Mine usually shuts off when I hand catch it automatically.
