Since the latest firmware update, my Mavic Pro loses video signal every now ant then. The controller and the drone stay connected, but the phone says 'disconnected' and I get no video (black and white screen).

It all gets back to normal when I reboot the drone and the controller, but it is a pain in the ass, and it's embarrassing when it happens in front of a client.

Am I the only one?

Not the only one and not just from this update.  I've had this problem for a while.  No answers so far...

I'm not sure it is the same issue, it never happened to me while flying. But yeah, maybe. Hopefully we'll see these things fixed. Not sure DJI is still improving the Pro's firmware or this version is final.

I just reverted to V01.04.0200. Let's see what happens

What smart phone device are you using?  I had this issue and would happen every minute or so with my iPhone 6 disconnecting from my controller.  I would then unplug and plug back in the cable and it would work again for about another minute to just disconnect again.  A couple things you can try which may help resolve the issue.  

Try putting your device in airplane mode.  This was my issue and what was happening is my iphone was interfering with my controller causing the disconnects.
Try using the botton usb port of the controller instead of the side one.  If using the bottom port you need to ensure the side port is unplugged.  Use your supplied phone cable.  

Trying these may or may not fix your issue.  Won't hurt to give it a shot.

Is it not a phone problem? Maybe the cpu chip is too slow for the new fw update. I had a lot of problems with my phantom 4 pro , regarding slow cpu chip for ipad mini 4 which has a8 chip. I am not sure which chip the iphone 6 has.

@SparksBird I've got an Axon 7. Had been working flawlessly until the latest MP firmware update. I will try your advice if the problem comes back. I just did some tests and so far V01.04.0200 is giving me no issues.

@mickongen Yes, it's exactly the same problem. I'll download a previous app version and try to use it if the problem comes back. Thanks.

Does it mean that you use the same DJI GO 4 app version with different drone firmware and have the different result?

The latest firmware is v01.04.0300. If the current version of your drone works well and you don't want to update it, you can keep it.

FYI, I am running latest FW, GO4 4.1.16, iOS on my iPhone 6 and Mini 4 with out any problems. My iPhone battery is still within specs, so even if Apple slowed down my phone processor, it hasn't caused any problems. I think most of the time that when there is no connection between the RC and phone is because of a bad cable or bad plug on cable or bad jack on phone or RC. If you look at the lighting plug and one of the connecting spots is dark, it means that there is some corrosion on the plug and that could effect the contact with the phone. if there is also corrosion inside the phone jack at the same tab, then there is not current flow. I have some non apple cords that this has happen to and by just changing cords or flipping over the lighting plug the problem is resolved.

If the latest Mavic Pro firmware is v01.04.0300, someone should tell whoever in DJI maintains the DJI Assistant 2 Release Notes.

The Release Notes for the latest Assistant 2 v1.2.4 still show the Mavic firmware as v 01.03.09.00, and the Release Notes history show the Mavic firmware as unchanged since June 16 2017.
