Today there is new version of the DJI (IOS) app version released. Yeeha!

Anyone tested this version allready?

To what kind of OS have you found this great news ?

I think it's the same news and fixes that came to DJIGO4 V 4.2.14 to Android one or two weeks ago.

This one is for IOS. On Android it is working fine? I will edit my post!

Nice to know for CS users still sitting on 4.2.8 with no hopes to get any update and only watching what's going on. Why we are so punished with this product by DJI?

Yes thanks, I was a bit confused when I saw your post.   

I only fly MP and P4A and there are no corrections or news in the last version that has been stable here with me on my two Android tablets.

Thanks for the message, I have ugrade to the last version, not fly for the moment to test it.

Here in germany there is IOS update not yet availible..
Android and Ios have version 4.2.14

No update available here either.

Hi HallMark - it enables you to manually turn off OA while in active track and manually set (and increase) the max speed - think this is geared to tracking bikes and cars in more open areas.

My findings on the latest app update. 4.2.16 it's crap !  aircraft discontinued 6 times even before got a launch.
This is after the previous version 4.2.14 also had disconnect problems but not as bad as this latest version.
I wasn't game to fly with it after it constantly disconnected.
I went home and deleted this version and installed 4.2.12 and went back out and had no problems I used 5 batteries and didn't disconnect once.
The other thing I found with the last 2 versions was it took a long time to connect to aircraft.
versions 4.2.14 and 4.2.16 have problems with disconnect

You NOW MUST allow DJI your approximate location
AND DEVICE GPS INFORMATION

AND approximate location
OTHERWISE DJI GO4 app will no more work properly!!!!!!!!!!!
Then DJI knows ALL!!!!!!

After the update, I flew one battery lifetime and have no problems at all, all was smooth and without eny abnormal messages on screen.

The notifications are insane, I get constantly red messages such as; forward or rear sensing disabled, attitude too large, aircraft interference (when nobody is around in empty field). Many of these are false because I know I'm flying at 150 ft with nothing around me in good weather. Why? I hear if you face the sun it causes all kinds of problems with the forward sensing but why with the rear asking me to disable? Also that last firmware needs to be fixed, my MA rises and immediatelly yaws to the left without any input. Also the landing is way off, half of the time I have to land manually otherwise it would be 50 ft away. My aircraft is not asking for compass calibrations, and all systems are go with 14 satellites of more. So something got messed up with this last firmaware. I havent flown with this new version of the DJI go app so i will try and see if things are better.

I just got back from the tests - Mavic PRO Platinum. Everything works smoothly and without a problem. I also noticed that since the previous update Mavic does not drift with the wind any more. It's better to keep the course   Everything is working properly.

I just installed on my mate 10 pro.... Google Play Store have it too.

What about FCC?

Hoping they fixed some active track just constantly losing the subject.  I will test this out today and report back.  Installing the update now.

Were they not doing this before but now are just asking for permission?  Am sure at least some.

no problems here with Go .16, but i am still at .01 firmware MP/mini 4. .01 fw seems to help with live feed lag, and i would say it's slightly better with Go .16.

the user sparksbird has done a few tests and found his active track now works astonishingly well.  prior to .16 update his active track was completely useless.   

otherwise not really anything mentioned good or bad yet.  i'm going to be testing it out tomorrow.. its 2am here now.. so ya know..

Actually they did this already before. But now they are forced by law to "ask" for it.
This laws are the General Data Protection Regulations. They are for all EU-Countries and are active from next friday.

Had 3 batteries worth of flying today using the latest app (iOS) and MA firmware.... absolutely PERFECT! No loss of FCC, no unstable video, no loss of signal over a reasonable distance (furthest away was 620m), no undemanded movements.... just a wonderful hour of flying & filming! I love this little drone!

Also, iOS user, iPhone 6, no problems. Will test out Mini 4 today.

With OA engaged it’s 20MPH

I have exactly the same results, no problems at all, tested with 4 batteries.
