When i turn it on or try to charge the left most white led blinks on my controller. I checked the battery and its at 8.18v. Any clues? When charging the blink pattern looks like an error code.

Sorry, it's a P4. No issues previously.

From your description, it sounds like you have a very low battery.  When you charge it, the left-most lamp should blink fairly rapidly indicating it is charging.  As it gains charge, the left most lamp will glow and the second-to-left lamp will blink rapidly.  And so on, until all four lamps glow.  It should then stop charging automatically.  

Battery is at 8.18v, probably a full charge. I measured it with a VOM.
