So i decided to use airmap today to fly my Pro and would not recomend anyone flying with it. The video feed delay is very bad around a couple of seconds, just though i would mention this if anyone was deciding to use this app

Also had it there and never used it but i was trying to empty out my 4 batteries before flying next week so decided to give it a try and its useless

Here is how i use AirMap.

I have it on the mobile phone that i actually use as a mobile phone.
I gather data from it for where i'm planning to be, and what airfields to notify of my flights.
The device that i use DJI Go 4 is separate and that is the only app on it.  

For that, AirMap is good.  I never wanted it to get in the way on the device i actually fly with.

Very interesting.  I will never use it, really have no need with DJI GO 4 and Litchi being the only two I will ever need or use.  At least you confirmed it

I like to interfere with things, my car delaer is also tired of me. Traded in the old car and got another which is supposed to have apple car play, they told me it cannot work and i say it can, after they failed for about a week i got it loaded myself now they are trying to figure out how i did itTold them to pay me first

I can respect that.  I just sort of fell on this solution/arrangement.  I had been reading and downloaded it before i got the drone.  then realized i needed to use a different device to fly.  Just sort of kept it that way.  This way i plan my flights and prepare for them even when i don't have the device i fly with handy..

I have to disagree on the "useless".
I have never tried the app to fly (use Litchi most of the time), but it gives information on what rules apply and advisories where I am flying. I hear they are also expanding the app to allow quick (within minutes...not weeks) authorization requests through FAA at airport and other NFZ.
I'm going to keep my Airmap app.

Airmap will be rolling out LAANC FAA Authorization on the fly so to speak, in the southwest region by June 21, 2018.  It's an informational tool, soon to be extremely useful to FAA 107 Pilots.

Try taking a look at FAA sUAS Facility Maps.......gives you max flight altitude AGL for each square, if you are near major infrastructure.
