Ok guys, I'm in need of a fresh set of eyes.

http://www.phantomhelp.com/LogViewer/CT3L8MB675WA7CVXS1KP/

Can any of you see any reason that I would have lost connectivity to the aircraft?  (see 10m 48.7s)
The log shows weak signal, but i actually lost connectivity.  The aircraft turned and headed home when the link was restored (11m 9s)

i'm just trying to see if this was an anomaly, or if i should be concerned.  i've had other flights in this direction and not gotten this kind of error.  And i've never lost controller connection under 1000 feet away.

I'm still having a range problem and can't go further than 800 - 1000 feet before it starts to act up.

I downgraded then updated my firmware with the DJI Assistant on my PC.   Works much better now and range is better.

Had the same problem twice today after updating to the few day old 16 version of the iOS app. Never had problems before. Log only showed an interference but live view on tablet stated controller disconnected, which in reality it wasn’t because I flew up and towards me and still had full signal

They need to stop letting the intern release his beta code and re-release some stable code!

Come on!  It's a teaching position.  Poor intern can only learn via On the Job Training and fixing bugs.

The message of weak signal do appear when signal actually loss for me. Quite confusing.

Is the RC able to reconnect aircraft automatically when it return closer?

Do you have connection issues before and after in the same place?

If answer for both questions are No it’s likely something wrong with RC or MA.

Yes, in most cases, it does actually reconnect once the craft is closer.

Yes, i have connection issues in the same place that i did not have connection issues before the upgrade.  Almost flying in the same pattern.

in once case, i was simply flying around my neighborhood.
On my very first flight, I flew this path and went around 1000 feet before i brought it home. <- me being nervous because i lost sight of the bird.
this time, i took it on that same flight, with much more confidence, and lost connection 700 feet away from the house.  I could actually still hear it, when it lost RC and it went into RTH

If you can reconnect when aircraft return closer it’s likely interference or signal problem.

i've just got a problem with that.  If i can fly upwards of 2000 ft in one direction one day, and then i update firmware, and app, and then can only fly 700 ft in the same direction, that points at an issue with the updates (to me)  Especially since that distance is pretty consistent now.  no matter where i fly when i get to about 800 feet i start to get aircraft interference, and weak signal.
There can't be consistently be interference 800 feet away EVERYWHERE that I fly!

No.  I haven't checked.  Let me power her up and see what mode she is in now.

*edit*  I am in FCC mode.

Thanks though.  good thought.

Informative video.  I thought that i had read that the antennae should be pointed in a 45 degree angle, so that is the way i was putting them.  when the craft gets out into the sky, i have tried to make sure that the flat side of the antennae toward the aircraft.  So i'm doing most of what the video says, even though i hadn't seen it.
