i want to upgrade...  but i'm just a little punch drunk from the updates of late.  i may wait a few days and see if the forum lights up

You are very welcome. Simulator and privacy settings will be a "want have" for many, but I believe the most important are the new drivers that hopefully will solve all problems for all users.

It looks very promising, I have had no unsigned driver notification at all on my Win 10 computer. Update was absolutely smooth and all seems to work.

Captain, you have a good rep in my book...  I'll take your word for it.  Once you updated the assistant, did you do any refresh of your controller/Mavic Air?

Oh thank you :-) What I can report is the following: After the update I have tested if my MA, the RC, the internal memory as well as the SD card get recognised well by my PC and MA as well as RC for DJI Assistant. On my side no problems at all and I wish the same for all other users!

For me the MA RC is still not connecting to Assistant 2 v1.2.4. Still seems to USB driver issues. Seems the best solution offered so far is install v1.0.7 first then update, my problem is I can longer find an installable version of v1.0.7, does anyone ha a good link to it please?

I had a issue where I could not get DJI Assistant 2 to work on window 10. So one of the Administrators sent me a link which I think was a test version. All I had was on my home screen Firmware update, Log export and Calibration. Then I had a issues with MA and was asked to send in the black box logs. I could not as I did not have it on my version of DJI Assistant 2. So I deleted that and download this new version which works fine on window 10 and now I have the Simulator on my home screen which I did not have before but still missing Data Upload, Black Box, and Wifi.  Why am I missing those.

That the same as mine. The reason I am saying I am missing things is that a administrator as me to download my Black Box information which should be on the home screen. then I seen a link about Assistant 2 and that had alot more items on the main screen.

Most likely, Windows OS is blocking install for security reasons.  Because DJI does not sign their software / drivers.  
You have to disable Secure Boot in PC's bios.   One person had to delete "the PK key" in the BIOS to get Secure Boot completely disabled.

Have you tried running the installation file as administrator? You get that option when you right click on the installation file.

please has anyone got copy of 1.0.7 not being able to conncect to pc to do proper update on remote is doing my nut in emailed dji about 20 times now an still cant help me

I too would like that version 1.07 as I can't find it anywhere
I tried installing latest with disabled signature verification but still am not able to connect my standard RC or Cendence to Assistant 2 v1.2.4
