Dear all, just one big question - why saying always please use the latest version? since on release note of the Spark. the latest version is 4.1.22???
Higher then 4.1.22 has only Mavic stuff.

Which optimize features are there for Spark?

Reading this forum, all problems started after 4.1.15(lost OTG).

Can we all release a Spark only Go4 version? The GO apps are growing and growing, now 400 MB, 4.1.15 has only 99 MB. Every time I open whats new I read Mavic Mavic Mavic...boring Dji! Give something for all of us with a little Sparky!  


I certainly do not by Mavic, and this can only be upset and my spark will be unusable and that the emphasis will be placed on a more expensive drone witch is not better for me then it gets regular update.

Stick to 4.1.15 unless new features are coming for spark(extra quickshots, waypoints, terrain follow, orbit,homelock.courselock etc etc)

I have used the 4.2.12 and .14 for some flights with otg.
But the new offline map system is hardly that, what the old one with here maps was.
Unless I did something wrong, the new maps did let me download just 30x25km squares.
And only 5 or 6 of them.
Compared to  complete countries at here maps  and as many as you have space on the device, that is nothing in case you arent flying around some specific locations, always.
Also the 30x25 km squares have been 50-80MB
Here, all Thailand, was only 900MB about.Do the math
My flight device is back to 4.1.15 for now.

Did you all think that is best choice to go with 4.1.15. ? I love updates, and im scared to go with older versions, because i think that may some issues is fixed in newest version..?

I can use OTG with up to date version, but at the same location, i tried bought 4.2.12. and 4.1.15. and 4.2.12. lagging live video, 4.1.15. not. Conditions were the same,  i was sitting in the same place. What can cause that? With otg was and with wifi.

buy yourself a iPhone and no issues with OTG or latest DJI Go as I see it only android users have a issues

I find 4.2.14 rock solid on Android Oreo   OTG, range, latency all great, no issues at all.
I have it on two devices, both work faultlessly.

Waiting for some brave soul to test 4.2.16 on Android, to ensure OTG is still ok.

My theory, is upgrade to the newest release and do a thorough test flight before venturing out to far.  This has proven very successful thus far.  Secondly, many of the issues I've seen on here seem to align to those with android based devices.

OTG keeps disconnecting on 4.2.16 on Oneplus One Android 6.0.1. Completely unusable. On wifi the video is chubby and the controls are awful. No problems with previous versions.

I will test it today on the same place where last time was good flight. If something better or worse i will write here soon. I thing that 4.2.16. will works like versions before, because there is no affect on spark system and device by itself. Any news about these version please writeee...we need feedback's like a new version

Thanks...I will alos try on one of my devices.

I got rid of my first Spark because of the inconsistency which impacted the experience.   Hope things stay stable for a while

Update to my previous post. Just tried it with the USB Debugging on. Flew to a 650 m distance on OTG without issues. Previous versions worked on OTG without USB Debugging on.

Mine is OFF by default. Why to turn it ON? There is no need for that?

It is either 4.1.15 or 4.2.14 for me. I have in on both my devices and an tested that OTG works with Android Oreo. Hopefully both this versions are still stable with Android P.

otg is still working on 4.2.16 android here...

Hi Diana, there will always be an issue if we talking about Android users...what I want to tell you and I know that Dji already knows that is to FIX android app to works like android. Please, use statistics and you will read that biggest share are android users. Not talking on Europe first.

I know that you will forward this to your team, but without that sentence please do something.  

Dji is the fantastic product, but look at all these bad app rate??? Did you see something ?

Hi, you can update the firmware when the DJI GO4 app prompts it. For the firmware version of the drone, remote controller and the DJI GO/GO4 APP, we always recommend the latest one. Thanks for your kind understanding.

since 4.2.8 (I think), OTG is back on.

You can update android version to 4.2.16. and OTG works well. Tested a few times and everything works well. I'm not scared to update to newer version since i saw some Spark changes...then might be OTG dead.

Firmware, I think, you have the choices,  Assistant2 is allowing you.
.701
.800
.900

But the .900 seems to work well.
The go4 app, however: I hang on to a working version better than being sorry with the latest in the field

Thanks, as far as I know OTG is not "officially" supported, though when I plug in the cable it prompts to auto launch the GO app

I might will give a go to 4.2.16 then
