I have read on other threads in this forum that this is likely to happen at certain times of the year if you fly near their nests.  The rocks in your pictures look like they could be nesting grounds.  Perhaps fly elsewhere or wait until later in the year?

I have experienced seagull attacks myself, and I have seen many videos of seagulls making threatening attacks towards drones, and occasionally they take them out. Most of the time the seagulls will fly close and veer away at the last moment. The birds you really have to watch out for are hawks. They will take you out.

My advice: Do not fly near birds. If you find a bird attacking your drone, throw it in to sports mode and shoot straight up. Then get out of there and let the birds be.

Birds own that airspace, not drones.

Simple answer, avoid nesting areas at this time of year. Seagulls are aggressive and will attack your drone so don't fly anywhere near them.

Seagulls are just as worst as hawks and will take you down..

Birds most of the time are not too fond of drones.....
Stay away indeed.
Or risk loosing your bird...

Nerve racking to say the least - even the most safety conscious drone pilot can’t avoid that when it happens! Came close myself once or twice but yet to take a hit! Steer clear of coastal areas during nesting season reduces the risk as M2 said

Nooo - Birds have the right to be there, we only have the opportunity. You would probably also defend your home, and especially the children's room, if the birds began to invade it.

I'm doing my holiday in Algarve Portugal and all over the beach have this seagull issue not only in one place. Every time when I turn on my bird in a minute seagulls are all over the place , look like they have some radar :-)

Maybe one of these will help keep them away?   I at least feel it does

Lovely bit of coast there, and some excellent pictures. Move inland next I would think.

My Mavic pro has been hit twice now by bats or not sure what. Both time it was close to dusk with the sun hidden by the mountain. There were bats and night hawks out.  Both times I never seen anything other that a black shape on the camera. I was 60 to 100 feet from anything both times. The collision alert sounded and the drone shook violently. It didn't fall but scared the hell outta me both times. I was just hovering both times to take pics and something came up and tagged it.
