I'm going to France in a couple of weeks and plan to put my drone in my checked in suitcase but take the batteries in my hand luggage.

Anyone had issues with airport security doing this?

No problem. I recommend to put all in hand luggage.

The best way on how we will know the rules and regulations on how to bring a drone from UK to France is by contacting the airport security department so that we can get all the right information on how to transport the drone. It's incorrect.

I discharged my batteries to 30% but actually I travelled a lot with my drone and never got checked. So now I keep them in the state they were before departure.

ps: I use DJI battery bags (3) to store my batteries ( 6 ) when travelling.

Unless you've got like a Pelican quality case for your drone i would not put in the hold luggage
