My P4P v 2.0  controller doesnt seem to hold a charge as long as P4P  
usually can fly hours before controller battery goes down a notch,
New v 2.0 controller starts blinking on the forth light after 30 min,  of flight
Any one else notice this,

I assume Occusync uses more power which would also explain the open grill on the front for cooling.

Yes, you are totally right. I need to charge the RC of my P4PV2 much more frequently. It did not happen with P4  at all.

May I know how long did you charge the remote controller?

I charged it till it stopped blinking,  then maybe a little longer

That is different than P4P

First I'd like to thanks a lot DJI, because it tooks 3 days only to receive my V2.0 in Switzerland! I'm impressed...

Regarding the V2.0 contoller, I have the same behaviour. I did the fisrt complete charge... and the 4th led started blinking after something like 40 minutes flight...
Never had such a short time this with my P4P...

Hi there, the charging and using time of the RC of P4P V2.0 are the same with P4P. It takes about 3 hours to charge the RC fully and can be used about 6.5 hours(standard RC) or 5 hours(the RC with a built-in screen). There might be some differences in various conditions, please kindly note and understand.

Mine lasts about the same as v1 controller....not a difference really. Maybe u guys just need a few break in cycles for rc lipo

I have been using my RC with my P4P V2 for 2 weeks. It does not last as long as the P4 for sure. I know how to charge it, that is not the issue. I guess it is the new electronic inside. They should've incorporated a more powerful battery. They knew it was going to need more power as you can see the new ventilation windows.

Susan, please, can you re-verify what you are saying. This is not what I am experiencing. The new RC lasts significantly much less than the P4. It s obvious that this RC requires more power as it has ventilation windows that we did not have before. If you knew that,  I would've expected that DJI had installed a more powerful power supply. Is that the case?

I have the same issue, my RC does not last as long...
I can fully charge it and it will only last maybe 1 hr max...

I have the V2 and have been getting similar battery life as I do on my V1 controller.  I can run 4 flights to depletion of the drone battery and the controller will be at 50%

El mero mero and weston then there is something wrong because it lasts just about the same amount of time as the v1....it is not a noticeable amount of difference and just because there is ventilation holes does not mean it is sucking more power it just means that the electronics get hot!!! This is what ocusync does. It gets hot. You know if DJI felt the remote needed more power because of the electronics they would have put a bigger lipo in it. Also took about 2 or 3 charge cycles for the remote lipo to finally settle in and last a pretty long time. Now I feel it lasts as long as the v1 for sure

Hmmm. I don't have another controller to compare it to as the P4P V2 is my first and only drone but I can tell you I've done at least 20 minutes of tinkering, 1.5 hours of flight and I've still got two battery lights remaining indicating approx. 50% charge.
