He has been investigated by the FAA (Federal Aviation Authority) at least 7 times for illegal/unsafe flying, but every time they have let him go free due to insufficient evidence - on most of his videos they can't prove that it was him flying.

Not sure this video was legal either, he appeared to be beyond VLOS several times and although he claimed to have a long lens to get close to the statue, it clearly wasn't a long lens.
