I bought my P4 used, It needs to update but I do not have an adaptor to go from my tablet to the drone. I can't fly to see if it works. I tried to update through my pc using DJI assistant 2. It keeps failing. Please help!

If you dont have any succes using computer then try a different cable.
You can buy the adapters at most electronics stores

Hi there, has the drone been involved in the crash or hard landing before? Please try to reinstall the right DJI Assistant 2 from the corresponding product page and try again to see whether it works.

The adaptor cable is known as an 'OTG' cable (On The Go), just check and make sure you get the correct connection for the P4.
When you try and upgrade using DJI Assistant 2 at what point does it fail ?

It downloads file from server to PC first, then 'transmits' this file to aircraft, where it does the install.

DO you have an SD card within the phantom? You may want to remove it and delete all the files then try again.

It goes to 100% then fails. Maybe my cable is bad.

Yes I do have an SD card. Is it supposed to be in the drone for the update?

Thanks for the clarification. Please try to format the SD card, and changing to another working cable to see whether it works. If still not, I'm afraid that you may consider sending the unit in for diagnosis.

My stepson bought and sent me a micro to micro cable. It downloaded perfectly to my tablet, and I was able to fly it last night!! Thank you for your help!!
