You don't.
Unfortunately you bought the wrong controller for mapping or 3rd party apps.
To run DD you'll need to buy another controller and tablet.

As of the moment, P4P+ remote controller does not support offline mapping. I apologized for the inconvenience.

The regular (non +) P4 pro is excellent for mapping.

Come DJI get your finger out and get this Pro + mapping/3rd party apps situation sorted.  So many customers feel let down.  Paying over £300 for another control until, plus the cost of a tablet, is just not on !!!

Many people on the very same situation, the DJi screen is great, the flying experience is good, but you are locked in to DJI OS. There are ongoing efforts to change this situation and seems that many people have been able to install third party app on the DJI screen, but it would be great that DJi itself tries something about it. They only thing you can do as a consumer is to file feature request to DJI and leave reviews and comments about it wherever you can, for instance I did it in the amazon seller that sold me the bird with a less than stellar review, so others don't fall for the same situation.

So if I buy a P4P controller (without the screen), can I get it to work with my P4P+ drone? Or does DJI have any plans to integrate some kind of mapping app into the P4P+?

You can use an ordinary P4 pro controller with a P4 pro+ drone.
The drone is exactly the same.
Only the controller is different.

Just make sure you don't mix the original and V2.0 models as they are not compatible.
If you have an original P4 pro+, you need an original P4 pro controller - not one for the P4 pro V2.0.

The P4 pro + has been out for 2.5 years now.
If DJI had any plans to integrate a mapping app, that would have happened long ago.

Plenty of info on adding third party apps out there. It's being done. Don't tear tags off of pillows, either.

We have the same problem so I borrow the thread. We have bought Phantom 4 Pro Version 2.0 +

It seems to be a big misstake to buy the plusversion with the integrated controller. It's our first drone, so we are newbies. Our mainly missions/usage would be to create ortophotos and things like that. It seems to be impossible or is there any opportunity to do that? I think I have tried everything I can think of to solve the problem.

DJI seems to lock out thirdpart applications. I can see they do that, but I can't even use DJIs own applications? GS Pro seems don't work because it's just for Apple-products? Flight planner doesn't either support this drone?

Then I tried to install thirdpart apps. I managed to install it, but the application can't connect to the drone. (It connects only to DJIs Go App)

I also tried to connect a mobile phone to the controller but I didn't manage to swtich screen and I don't think I could do that either.

Now I think I have tried everything. Is the only opportunity to buy a new controller without integrated screen or are there any possible ways to use the drone for mapping? For us the drone is nearly useless right now and it seems to be a big misstake to buy it.

I have a P4P+ with the + builtin screen and I have no problem running drone link, Litchi, and any other android app I've used so far. When I start the controller I go to settings and stop all DJI apps. then I go back to all apps and start my third party app. No problems.

The procedure for linking a new controller is on p41-42 of the manual.

Normally it's quite simple.

But you have to have the correct controller for your drone.
The V 2.0 controller won't work with an original P4 pro drone (and vice versa).
For the original P4 pro, you need a GL300F controller
For the P4 pro V2.0 you would need a GL300L
