This is a note to DJI.
Currently, the pano mode on the P4 Pro and P4 Pro Vr 2.0, is taking the gimbal to the max height and thus pulling in props into each top shot.

So for example on the 9 shot horizontal the top 3 frames have taken the gimbal to the max height even with the 30% up gimbal feature turned off.  Thus the pano feature is over-riding the gimbal up feature.

Most of the time this involves sky, as it's up, but it does add more work to the image process as you really need to take the props out of the image before you stitch, and thus it makes it next to impossible to stitch from raw/dng, which is preferable.

In the future, would it possible to make a setting for the pano software for the P4 that will limit the up on the gimbal to around 15%?  This would be a great addtion to the software and save a ton of time in post.

It would also be a nice feature to add to the P5 or follow on to the P4, the ability to rotate the sensor to the portrait view like in the Mavic.

Sincerely

Thank you.  The current pano process just takes too much of the sky on the top frame thus pulling in the props.

If they could make the limit a bit less the images would be much more productive and easier to get a pano from.

This is already forwarded to our Engineering team. I'll get back to you once I receive the response/feedback from them.

Can't you just crop the pictures, same amount cut off the top from the top pictures? This would be a better approach than being limit to a preset degree of gimbal tilt as on a calm day you can have more sky without props than on a day the wind will make the AC tilt in different directions during the yaw/rotation.

+1. I'm experiencing the same problems.

Just received the feedback. There is no plan yet for PANO for Phantom 4. But this is already forwarded to our Engineering team.

OP is asking to have the gimbal limit toggle added a 15° option to the existing 30°/off already on the P4P's, perhaps also to have the pano routine to respect if the 30° is not active.

Edit: see attached pic.

Can't we at the same time ask to have a more than 90° down, guess it could take 10-15° more making flyovers even more stunning when able to track subject for a while even after a pass.

As is now we have to yaw while passing over a subject witch destroy the fluid movement and does not have the same upside down effect now they have corrected that issue.
