First time poster so please be gentle.

Hope this is in the right place if not please advise at to where to post.

I recently took the plunge and bought a second hand phantom 2 with Zenmuse h3-2d gimble. The gimble was attached and seems to work ok with the hero 3 I have. Upon searching through the boxes I found the gcu v1 - is this supposed to be installed?

I'm sure I will have more questions but any help appreciated.
