So I am creating this to show how reliable even a refurbished Mavic Pro can be.  I purchased my Mavic Pro refurb from DJI exactly three months ago and have flown 1000 miles total with it.  I want to show that even for a refurb unit how relaible these are.  I am not saying that 100% of refurb units will be this reliable but I am proof that a pre-owned/refurbished unit can be just as reliable as a brand new unit.  I have learned a ton from many of you on these forums how to be a safe pilot and if you pay attention to the pros that help many out here it can help you to become a safe good pilot.  I have always said this but will say again always go through your pre-flight checklist before each and every flight.  Never ever take off unless your home point has been recorded and if possible 12+ satelites locked.  Always do a physical check before flying.  Anyways just thought I would share this to show how reliable these DJI Mavic Pro's are.  I expect many more thousands of miles from it.

Had my Mavic 18 months and have done similar amount of flying, just had my first failure, the Gimbal burned out.

Just sent for repair , fingers crossed it won't take too long.

But the DJI Mavic Pro is an outstanding, reliable product.

I’m about to touch the 1000 mile mark on my mavic Pro as well, mine was purchased brand new from Amazon however.  

I don’t not treat mine very gently, and she suffered rain, snow, sleet, high winds, freezing cold and blazing heat, 5 serious crashes, dust, dirt, grime and it still behaves normally and flies beautifuly!

These drones are built to such a truest high standard! I wouldn’t mind buying a refurb after my experienced with my mavic Pro.  Refurb usually means just as good as new and can actually mean better than brand new because refurbished can mean that they fixed issues that may still exist in brand new models packed in back of a warehouse somewhere.  

1600 km in 3 months (90 days) is almost 18km per day, every day..

Curious to know what you do to clock up that kind of mileage.

I totally agree abou refurb units and have always believed in them.  I have bought refurb PC's, phones and never an issue to date.  

These DJI Drones sure are built to last I mean to put 1000 miles on these motors and they still run as smooth as the first mile is just incredible.

Yup about 10 miles a day.  The good thing about where I live is there is incredible amount of open realestate to fly(Nevada).  There is a couple very large parks close to where I live that has seen my drone fly many miles.  I just like to take it everywhere and get some use out of it.

Congrats. Thats quite a milestone. I do believe the Mavic is a great product. Mine performed perfectly other than a couple gimble bumps during filming in the 140+ miles I flew it in just under a year. Mine now has a permanent birds eye view of a beautiful waterfall from high atop a tree. (pilot error) I look forward to buying a refurb when the funds permit. Its been gone 3 days and I already miss it.

Very sorry to hear about the mishap.  Hopefully you can get one soon in fact just saw DJI has a MP refurb for $649 that is the lowest I have seen one.
