This woolshed was built around 1907 by the previous owner of the farm. It was a four stand shed, 4 shearers.
When it was built, no real foundations were made and over time the back of the shed broke.
Family lore is that when my Great Grandfather bought the farm, he was told that the shed was only meant to last 25 years. Generally it was used three times per year to crutch and shear up to 3000 sheep.
The last time the shed was used, was in 2012 and it already had its skylight at that time.
Yes just a few parties held in the woolshed over the years. I remember being at a couple of them and the hangovers that followed. Best thing about having a party there was that the closest house was 6 km away and lots of scrub in between so you could make as much noise as you wanted and be as outrageous as you could.

Wicked mate. Was in west QLD over the weekend out past Moonie on a property pig shooting. Had the use of the property for two cartons of beer. We had the old shearers shed to camp in. It still had the old stalls with the pulley that ran off an old donkey motor that ran across the roof with the old leather drive belts to power the shaft with the rods coming off that to every stall to power the shears with the universal on the end that the shears connected to...if you get my drift!! GREAT VIDEO BRO!! Im getting old and every video I get of something like that I burn it to my memory for future use. Will not be around forever and videos like that to me are priceless.

Thanks Dingo Down Unda
We are about 230km south south west of Moonie
Our old woolshed is similar to the one you described, old Lister single cylinder diesel thumper driving the overhead gear. Motor still runs well so I am going to move it to the homestead to power a backup generator to support welder when we lose mains power
