Anyone with iOS 12 beta, that can confirm that DJI GO app works fine?

The latest version of IOS is 11.4. If this is a beta version of the internet, this can be a hacked version.

Never use a beta version of an OS for serious matters such as banking and flying with drones.

If an accident occurs, this will also affect the rest of the drone pilots. This is usually exaggerated via the media, resulting in stricter rules for flying with drones. There are already countries where you are no longer allowed to fly with drones.

Please for the good of us all, do not do this

No, you sign up for the beta service through Apple.
They send you a copy when it is released.
It's not a "possibly hacked version" like an Android app could be.
There is a specific key assigned to your copy.
Raw file will not work on another iPhone unless you are signed in as your device.

Ok, that sounds better.

But be aware, the spark can fly a distance of 7 Km or an attitude of plus 2 Km, if the software is not restricting this. So you need a very big safe/controlled flight space to do your beta testing safe.

Unless you go to an abandoned desert without any airplane traffic, my warning is still valid.

Seems like apart from the obvious health and safety concerns, the financial risk could be immense.  I agree, dont do it.  Let DJI's team do it.

Why wouldn't the DJI GO 4 app not limit the distance/ altitude for iOS 12 as on iOS 11.4?

But personally, I am not looking forward to iOS 12 on an iPhone 7 or like device.
New rev means older devices will run noticeably much slower than iOS 11.4.
And even then, iOS 11.4 runs slower than iOS 10.3.3

The app store used to read "optomized for" and whatever devices was top of the line at the time...
I always said "That means I will run slow as molasses on anything else."

If you connecting systems together, you must see it as one system.
So your Spark, remote controller and phone act as one system.

The distance/altitude limit is an active safety, there is a active program that says : hey your over the limit, you should stop now, to the other part of the system.

A brick wall is a passive safety. Whatever, if you fly against the brick wall it will stop your Spark.

If your software is does do something wrong, for example sending in a loop : go 100% speed forward and crashing the software safety monitor in the Spark. You will have a problem.

So it not the limits that is different, it is the stability of the software of whole system that could cause big problems. A part of this forum reports is about this.

Beta is beta, it sounds like "bad" in plural.

I may be wrong but I don't believe an iOS beta would affect the DJI GO 4 app that drastically.
And if iPhone 6 is not supported, there goes my "test platform".

For the record I have run every beta of iOS with DJI GO 4 with out issue since last August , the only issues I have had are with the mechanics of the spark and the human DJI end

Besides, what is to say iOS 12 final will function any better than iOS 12 beta?
I mean there is a icon overlaid on the same icon in the messenger window since iOS 11
And since iOS 11.1, the message you send is still behind the predictive text bar instead of moving up on send.

Is a beta software and is not recommended to use it with your daily driver.

5S will be supported now.

Beta to me tells me all the bugs haven't been worked out.  I remember some IOS versions that came out and DJI had to make their own updates to Go 4 as a result so it would work with the new IOS.  I'm not real keen on trying something that is still in a trial mode.  I'll let you other guys be the guinea pigs and after the real IOS 12 comes out and several of you have stated it works okay, then I'll make the change...thanks!!!

It says supported from iPhone 5s, so the 6 is supported.

Mine only allows me to go 500m, how did you get 2km?

I'm using the iOS 12 Beta for the last 2 month and did around 10-15 flights since then. No issues at all. All works fine!

I am installing the release (not beta) today... anyone else had a chance to fly with the read deal?

Just upgraded today and all looks fine...

Upgraded to official iOS 12 (no beta) and just flew my 3 batteries, all fine!
[EDIT] Flight was with DJI GO 4.3.1

Well thats good to hear because I got 4.3.2 right after upgrading to iOS12.  I only managed two flights last weekend due to house guests getting all up in my me time!  And those two flights were in aid of searching for a downed toy drone... which we did not find yet!  Itching to try out the new stuff, new phone too, iPhone 8plus.  It was quirky this weekend, before one of those two flights, the screen refused to rotate regarless of the lock rotation setting, had to do a cold boot to fix it.  My iPhone 7plus was rock solid for my Spark adventures...  feeling a little nervous about all these changes in one week.

Fingers crossed... Just did a quick test in-home with iOS 12 and DJI GO 4.3.2, I see photos and videos in the editor, connected and disconnected from AC/RC!

All is good with iOS 12 and 4.3.2
No issues to report.
