Ciao Alex,

I have been coming to Rome from when I was 8 years old, almost 30 years ago. Now I am 37.

The only places outside Rome in the Lazio Disctrict I have been where EUR and Tivoli. I visited almost all Major Parts of Italy, this year I will go to Messina, Naples, Genova with the MSC Crociere. Strangely I have never been to Naples.

Italy is just beautiful, so many things to do there ! I go to Siciliy almost every year. Just 20mins flight from Luqa Malta Airport to Catania Fontanarossa at our Beloved Italian Neighbours.

I hope to visit soon again Malta ... maybe bringing my necessary equipment to shot some picture in these land and sea so beautiful.

That's a beautiful pano. Zooming in reveals a lot of detail.

I'm curious to know what you mean by "adapted and made harmless and then authorized by Italian law". Did you reduce Spark's weight by two grams to 300?

well I'm glad you like this panoramic photo and you ask me this question

A panoramic photograph made with the drone dji, has a good definition because in reality dji takes many photographs and then joins them together.

This function is automatic of the drone with app dji go 4.

therefore, even a spark dji, even if he not having a camera with a very high definition, like the big brothers, like Phantom 4 or Inspire ... and others, he can make some very good photographs.

I choose days, little wind or no wind ... good light ... in short, the better conditions.

in the forum, the photographs, can not exceed 2Mb ...
otherwise, it would be great to share even more exceptional photographs.

About the Italian law, you can find a lot of information on the internet, looking for ENAC.

In short, in Italy, a remotely controlled aerial vehicle, like a Drone with a take-off weight of 300g or less, equipped with propeller guards and  and other  , could be recognized by law as an inoffensive remote pilot aircraft  
therefore, he could get the necessary permits to fly in a simpler way than a heavier Drone or without these requireds.

now, DJI Spark, is the type of drone, which according to my point of view, is closer to the requireds by Italian law and as we know very reliable and performing

so ... yes I did , I followed the procedure to get  authorized by italian law and to fly legally in so many beautiful place.

certainly, to be able to explain better, the whole procedure ...
it would be better to open another post, or a dedicated tutorial, which I do not hide of wanting to do it.

Yes, I noticed that the photo in the thread is too small to reveal much detail, so I zoomed in and was nicely surprised. That would make a nice mural somewhere.

Thanks for the explanation of Italian law. Here in Canada, the cut-off weight is 250 gms, so I'm out of luck when it comes to that. National parks are off limits even for Spark pilots here.

You are right Canuck and I agree with you   
the reason is the joule force

the international rules of aeronautics, refering to a study done,
where it is scientifically shown that an object with a body not too hard and without sharp edges or sharp parts, (this is the reason for the  propellers guards )

when it falls (or a drone without control) does not produce a force (calculated in joule) that causes serious damage to people or things, measurable  by the designated aeronautical bodies.

this, however, does not take into account the effect of a small drone (100 grams Tello) that get into the window of a truck while traveling along a highway.

my point of view, it is always to fly with caution ...
respect privacy
frequent checks, before flying and after
good flight planning
stay in the local law ( keep informed )
patience...  knowing how to wait and knowing how to give up when you can not or are not ready.

(pre-inspection of the area not done, batteries, GPS signal, disturbed connection, compass calibration, forbidden areas, weather conditions, are only some aspects that can prevent a safe flight)

obviously, I tend to trust much more of the stability and precision of a DJI Matrice or Inspire than of a Tello, because they have a double and redundant device that better prevents serious fault .

but we must also take into account the weight and strength that can develop when they become without control.
