I just purchaseed a matrice 200... can you take picures and video with the onbaord camera?  Can you control it from the joystick or app?

The M200 series currently supports the Zenmuse X4S, Zenmuse X5S, Zenmuse XT and Zenmuse Z30 cameras.
You can take pictures and videos via RC or the DJI Go 4 APP.

I think what Scoutzdad is talking about is the FPV camera build into the platform.
If that is the case im sure he can only use that cam as the drones "eyes" I
might be wrong.
The cameras Mindy is talking about is the once used for capturing photos and
videos.

Why would you need a picture taken with Matrice200/Inspire 2 FPV camera? The quality is just terrible, more like an elevator security camera. It will merely tell you if you're heading toward a huge tree while pointing main camera off the flight direction, but that's it.

I'm so sorry for my misunderstanding of 'onboard', thanks for your correction.

Hi scoutzdad, if you are talking about the FPV camera, it allows us to control the aircraft from a first-person perspective, and helps to fly the aircraft safely when the camera isn't centered. Sorry that it can not be used to take pictures or videos.
We can control the pitch axis of FPV by C2+left dial in the RC.
