One of my favorite styles of photography is Long Expo photography. Being able to combine aerial perspective with long exposure, opens so many new options for me when i travel. I always take my camera and Drone (Mavic Pro), in every adventure I embark on. Here are a couple of tips which i have found works best for me when taking long exposure shots with my drone: 1. Scouting locations before hand: I tend to reserach or visit locations to see if i can envision the shot prior to actually being there, in other words i plan my shoots. for long exposure you want locations with some movement to create the motion blurr. 2. Weather: I constantly look at the weather to make sure i have the best possible conditions for my shoot since i am not constricted with time. if it is a trip and i am, i try to find the best conditions for the location i will be visiting. what works best are sunny to partially sunny days with light to no wind. Less wind is better as the drone will be hovering over the spot for a couple of seconds and we dont want the drone to move too much or it will make everything blurr. 3. ND Filters: I bring a set of Neutral Density filters, which allow me to reduce the shutter speed when taking the shots. this is what creates the motion blur on the shot. I tend the use an ND 1000 the most which helps reduce the shutter speed by 10 stops. 4. Test shots: depending on the lighting conditions and the ND filter you have, you would need to try a couple of shots to determine what is the best exposure lenght. 5. Shoot: take your shots and review them to select your favorites when you get back home. Remember you want to have some movement on your frame to create the motion blurr that gives long expo shots its look. Hope you all find this usefull and enjoy shooting some long exposure shots! i've tried with the camera but not with the drone as i do not have ND filters yet. and Spark may not be the best for long exposure photos, but definitely this is something i will look more into it.

you should def try. Would be possible with the spark with an ND 64 on a darker day with barely any wind. let me know if you try, not sure if there are any ND 64 available for spark though?

I need to check i know the ND32 is available for Spark but i did not check for above specs.

For me it's got to be Image 0019.  Great balance, enough movement but not too much to be distracting, good points of interest in the 3 people in the image and nice thirds of cliff, then rocks then sea/water

Thanks MountainDrone! that one believe it or not was hard to capture, it was very windy that day. had to be patient for the wind to give a break and shoot at 2 sec, cause the drone would not hold steady for longer than that.
