I love the fact that the P3 Remote Controller has the capacity to hold my iPad Air 2 - what I don't particularly like is the fact that the monitor wobbles from left to right...
Anybody got a suggestion to minimise this? Perhaps if the holder had two feet to attach it to the R/C rather that one?

The Plastic mount is really flimsy.  I have not got one yet to see if it fits but the Inspire tablet mount part number 45 looks like it might  made of aluminum. They sell for $30.

I'm going to jump in my time machine and go back to the 1930s/1940s and find one of those cigarette girls in a nightclub. Gonna steal her cigarette tray and stack my tablet and controller on there.

Then I'm going to jump back in my time machine and go back to the 1890s; find an old-timie photographer who's got one of those hoods he goes under to take pictures. I'm going to steal his hood and drape it over me and my cigarette tray.

Then, if any nasty weather starts heading my way, I'll either see it coming on the tablet screen or some nice kind soul will jab me and say "...hey stupid! Why don't you get out from under your shell and join the rest of the world!"

If this works I'll have a million dollar idea for eBAY! LOL

Have you tried tightening the knurled aluminum fastener post that attaches the rear of the phone/tablet holder to the top of your remote control?  It gets loose very easily I've found. If it will not stay tight, you might try putting a small drop of Loctite (purchased at you local hardware store) on the threads before tightening them, or carefully use a pliers to tighten the knurled post no more than 1/8 turn past finger tight.

Yeah the wobble sucks! My inspire never wobbled with my iPad. Not sure why they changed the holder arm that's on the inspire?? Dumb... I might see if the inspire arm fits

If you store the controller anywhere for transport, you don't want those threads locktited (is that a word?). You need to be able to rotate the entire mechanism over on itself to make a smaller package. If you put loctite on the threads...

The knurled fastenerer I am taliking about attaches directly to the RC body - it doesntt need to be rotated or disconnected when folding the tablet holder into storage position.

Make sure you tighten the metal-tightener on the device-holder. I tighten it with my fingers. I've found that it can loose its tightness unless you tighten it well.

Also consider using a flat-head screwdriver to tighten the two metal scews on the device-holder. Especially the top on at the hinge of the device holder is important if you want to make sure it can hold the weight of a heavier device like the iPad Air.

I have same problem with everything being tight.

I've ordered the metal device holder for the Inspire 1 - hoping it helps.

If in the uk, I ordered from Heliguy for 25 quid.  Here's the link in case you are interested:

I got some plastic epoxy putty called "Plastic Weld" from Lowes, and reinforced the base with it. No more wobble!

Yes, I discovered that that knob at the base was loose and when lightened was much more sturdy.

Thanks Jeff _ I'll wait and see how you get on with it... Let me know when you can.

It works well (and looks nice too ;-) ).  Three of us have used the P3P and all are unanimous that it feels more solid.  One thing I noticed is the screw that holds the back brace (closest to you) is a bit thicker on the I1 than the the P3 holder.  That, along with the metal build, may make the difference.

It was worth the 25 quid.

If it was available in gold I might have gone for it by now! Other's have said that the Inspire one has a slightly thicker thumb screw as well as being aluminium (English spelling and pronounced Al-U-mini-UM)? Thanks anyway for your prompt - didn't think people read my comments much.

One of the first additions to my Phantom 3 Pro kit, was the iPad Air 2.
I soon discovered the standard device holder was inadequate for my needs.
Upon inquiry, the general consensus was : http://store.dji.com/product/inspire-mobile-device-holder

It hasn't come loose, since I installed it, and firmly holds my iPad Air 2 Cellular with ease.
$30. A great value, for its efficiency and effectiveness.
